The Servite Priory (London) is home to a Servite Community of friars engaged in a variety of ministries. These ministries include a multi-ethnic and socially diverse Parish, reflecting the diversity of the City with over 40 language groups among its parishioners. There are 33 organised groups ministering within the parish.
The community also offers Chaplaincy service to the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital on the Fulham Road. This is a large acute hospital which also offers areas of specialisation. The Chaplaincy is full time and the community is on call 24 hours a day for this service.
It houses the Provincial Offices and residence for the Prior Provincial. This is a full time role at the service of the friars throughout the Province.
As many friars avail of the language and further studies courses offered in London Community has an ongoing formation dimension to its life.
The Servite presence in London was established by the Friars of the Venetian Province (Italy) in the late 1800s and continues to serve the people of this part of the city according to the values of the Gospel.
